Danielle Warren – Criminal Lawyer

Potts Lawyers > Our Criminal & Litigation Lawyers > Danielle Warren – Criminal Lawyer

Danielle holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University.

She has worked in the practice for the past 3 years gaining experience in a wide range of criminal, traffic and domestic violence matters.

Her interests in criminal law grew when she participated in Griffith University’s Innocence Project, a pro bono service committed to freeing innocent persons who have been wrongly convicted in Australia.  It was here that she was able to get hands on experience with how the criminal justice system works, and the problems that can stem from it.

Danielle is thorough and frank in her dealings with clients, ensuring that they understand every nuance of their matter, how it will proceed through the criminal justice system and all the options which are available.

Danielle regularly advocates for clients who are charged with serious offences and are at risk of imprisonment.  She has had exposure to an array of criminal law proceedings, which has placed her in good stead to effectively negotiate and advocate for clients in a range of matters including:

  • murder;
  • child/adult sexual assault;
  • serious drug matters (including importation, trafficking, production, and possession);
  • assaults;
  • domestic violence; and
  • traffic law.

Since the introduction of the Specialist Domestic Violence Court in Southport, Danielle has also developed expertise in the operations of the domestic violence pilot program.

Danielle understands the importance of providing strong, competent and diligent legal representation without forgetting that an empathetic supportive approach helps clients through what is, for most, a highly stressful experience.

Potts Lawyers offer a collaborative approach to the way in which we provide legal representation. Danielle works closely with Director, Mark Williams, and Senior Criminal Lawyer, Erin Ahearn, to achieve the best results whilst providing cost-effective options for clients.

Danielle appears regularly in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts across Queensland, and often travels to regional areas to represent her clients.

Danielle’s Testimonials

“Danielle, thank you so much again for today. You are a very professional and lovely person. I was overwhelmed with our outcome today. I wouldn’t be here if it were for you. So thanks!”

“Thank you very much for your work with my matter Dani!  It’s certainly been a long drawn out affair and to say I’m happy with the result is the understatement of the year.”
