Arrest Warrant For Witnesses In Suspected Murder Trial

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of two witnesses scheduled to give evidence in the committal hearing over the suspected murder of Timothy Pullen.

The women have failed to show up for the matter, which is now in its third day.

Magistrate Damien Dwyer yesterday ordered the two women be arrested.

No Bail Application for Accused Baby Killer

A father charged with the murder of his seven-month-old son has been in a mental health facility since his arrest, the Beenleigh Magistrate Court has heard today.

A GOLD Coast man with outlaw motor cycle gang links will “vigorously defend” a charge of murdering a nightclub promoter who plunged 31 floors to his death, his lawyer said today .

Christopher Cairns, 24, from Hope Island, was arrested on Saturday and charged with the murder of Tumma Cousins, 29, earlier this month.

Stabbing Victim had History of Alcohol-Fuelled Rages

A JURY which convicted a Gold Coast tiler of murdering his defacto wife in a violent domestic confrontation should have been told the victim allegedly had a history of alcohol fuelled rages, a court heard today.

Richard John Vollmer, 38, has always maintained he was acting in self defence when he repeatedly stabbed Alissa De-Monie, including 10 times in the back, at their Burleigh Heads, home two years ago.

Kiwi & Australian Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murder

A KIWI and an Australian have been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a Gold Coast cannabis dealer who was strangled in a robbery gone wrong.

Two New Zealand men, David Galloway and Malakai Lui, both 20, and Australian Dustin Johnston, 37, faced a murder trial in the Queensland Supreme Court over the death of Daniel Dwyer, 46.
